What is Prospect Indicator?
When you’re working from your Gmail Inbox and emailing with hundreds of prospects every day, it’s hard to keep track of who is who.
Prospect Indicator is an efficient and easy way to identify if someone you are contacting within Gmail is already a current prospect in Outreach, or not.
Why should I use it?
With this feature enabled, you’ll always know if you’re emailing with a current prospect, or whether you’ve uncovered a potential new prospect.
How does it work?
Outreach will add prospect indicator to contacts in Gmail who are either:
- Already prospects in Outreach (purple dot) or
- Not yet prospects in Outreach (gray dot)
If a contact is blocked for prospect creation (for instance, someone on your domain exclusion/suppression list) the contact in Gmail will not have a dot.
If there are multiple recipients in a single thread, the prospect indicator (dots) will still be visible in your Gmail List View and within the email thread.
Using Prospect Indicator with Gmail Extension
When using the Gmail Extension, Outreach will automatically create the prospect in Outreach if:
- You enabled the chrome extension before delivering the email
- The contact does not already exist in Outreach as a prospect
The gray dot next to the contact name in Gmail will change to purple after the prospect is created in Outreach.
