Objective
Learn how to engage the Propagate Prospect Ownership feature in Outreach, which ensures a seamless transition when the ownership of a Prospect changes from one User to another.
With this feature enabled, any time a Prospect's ownership changes in Outreach, existing tasks assigned to the original owner will transfer to the new owner. If the Prospect is being sequenced by the original owner, then the sequencer is also changed to the new owner.

Before You Begin
Note the following:
- Task reassignments only work on opened tasks. Failed or paused tasks will not change ownership.
- Task ownership and Sequencer assignments will only change for Tasks/Sequences where the old Prospect owner is assigned, and the new owner has a valid, connected mailbox.
Procedure
- Access the Outreach Platform.
- In the left nav, click Administration.
- Click Records > Prospects. By default, the Prospects window should open on the General tab.
- Under Basic info, check the box to enable the Propagate prospect ownership option.
- At the bottom of the screen, click Save.
From now on, changes to Prospect ownership will be propagated to the Prospect's active and pending tasks and sequence states.
