One large benefit of downloading the Outreach Chrome Extension is having the ability to quickly and efficiently import leads and contacts from Salesforce into the Outreach platform.
Importing Leads & Contacts into Outreach
Once you've downloaded the extension, you'll need to create a list view of either leads or contacts. Only fields visible in the list view will be imported to Outreach, so make sure to include every field you need in “Selected Fields.” Outreach removes duplicate prospects using email addresses, and they are required for sending emails, so we recommend including this field.
Once you have the list filtered with the fields you're interested in, select all, and click “Import to Outreach.” The Chrome Extension will open and you’ll see your list appear in the platform.
Once added to Outreach, we will call ‘leads’ and ‘contacts’ Prospects. You can find the list of prospects you've imported under the prospects list view, found by selecting the prospects option on the left-hand navigation panel.
Once you've found your prospects, you can manage and edit the prospects, including adding the prospects to a sequence, sending a one-off email, or creating a new task.
If you do not see the checkboxes next to the lead or contact list view in Salesforce, you're likely missing Salesforce permissions. Please reach out to your Salesforce Admin to ensure you have the permissions required to modify leads and contacts.
If you are not seeing the leads or contacts import into the Outreach Chrome Extension, make sure your list contains either leads or contacts, and not a combination of the two record types.
Governance may be preventing you from importing leads/contacts/accounts that you do not own.
