Answer
Outreach has a multitude of methods to search for prospects within platform. A great way to navigate the platform and utilize prospects that are in sequences and are in a specific sequence state is to utilize the sequence states button under settings > sequence states.
This window will effectively display all prospects that are in sequence and are in a specific sequence state.
Use case: "I'd like to view all prospects that have failed a step in a sequence" - you can navigate to the sequence states tab and click the "failed" state which will show all prospects in the failed state.
Some problems with this:
This function is specifically native to prospects that are still in sequence, if they have been removed from sequence they are effectively not in that specific sequence state therefore that record will not display within the sequence states window.
Please note: If a prospect has been removed from a sequence entirely, they will no longer have a Sequence State associated with that Sequence, as they are no longer present within that Sequence.
