Outreach can post email and call activity to Salesforce automatically for any prospect mapped to a Lead/Contact. When the connection posts email activity, Outreach is capable of posting the following:
- Emails sent from Outreach to a Lead/Contact
- Emails sent from a user's email client (Gmail/Outlook/etc…) to a Lead/Contact
- Emails sent from the Lead/Contact to you or any connected user on Outreach
Outreach appends each message with a marker noting it came from Outreach, for example:
[Outreach] [In] Subject…
[Outreach] [Out] Subject…
In the examples above, the [In] indicates that the message was sent from a Lead/Contact to the user. The [Out] indicates the message was sent from the user to a Lead/Contact. Additionally, the messages will post to Salesforce on behalf of the user who e-mailed, including a timestamp.
