Answer
Technically, these are two different metrics.
The email bounced count is not the same as the Prospect state that is displayed on the Sequences page shown below.
The 'bounced' that we see in the sequence list view page is related to the prospects state
. This state
value could be active, paused, bounced, optedout etc
.
For example, when we assign a prospect to the sequence and that sequence has an email step and we send an email when time arrives. If that email bounced then the state
changed to bounced
and in the list view you can see bounced
count increased to
Whenever we see bounced
we tried to send an email again and this time if it was a success then the state
changes to active
and bounced
count reset to 0.
So the list view prospect metrics are entirely calculated on the prospect state. Like, how many prospects are in active
or paused
or bounced
states.
We can see these metrics in more detail under the prospect
tab in a sequence
. If you see the below screenshot we are showing these metrics in the list view screen. See the screenshot below.
Whatever we see in the Email
tab under any sequence
we are not showing anywhere. In the screenshot below, these are email metrics; we are not showing these things in the list view screen. Please take a look at the screenshot here.
