Inbound Voicemail allows users to create personalized voicemail recordings and automatically get notified when prospects or customers leave a message. You now have the option to setup a custom voicemail, or use an automated voicemail, to prevent customers from falling through the cracks when you aren’t available.
Inbound Voicemail
- Click on the initials on the bottom left hand corner of the Outreach platform. On the settings page that appears, click into "Voice.
- Find the section labeled “Inbound Call Options”, you’ll have two options
- Inbound Bridge - The inbound call is rerouted to your bridge phone (i.e. your cell phone or desk phone) and if the call is missed the prospect leaves a voicemail on your bridge device. Voicemails will not sync into the platform.
- Voicemail - The inbound call is sent to Outreach, and if the call is missed the prospect leaves a voicemail in the Outreach platform.
- If you select “Voicemail”, you have two additional options.
- Automated - A text box appears where you can write the text of your voicemail. You can select whether the text is read by a male or female bot.
- Voicemail - Clicking on the “Add Voicemail Prompt” brings up a new dialogue box where you can click on the red button to record your own voicemail message.
- Automated - A text box appears where you can write the text of your voicemail. You can select whether the text is read by a male or female bot.
- With The “voicemail” option, when a voicemail is left by a prospect, you’ll receive an email from Outreach with a link to the recording. Clicking on the link takes you to a new browser tab where you can listen to the message. If the number is associated with a prospect, the email will contain the prospect name. If not, the email will provide the callback number.
- Alternatively, if using the Outreach Inbound voicemail option, rather than an inbound bridge number, you can find voicemails in the call list view. You’ll know the recording is a voicemail because the indicator will be a red downward facing arrow, which signals a missed call, and the play button on the right will be highlighted blue.
