From the navigation panel, hover over the chat bubble icon and click on “Messenger”. On the left hand side of the page you’ll see a history of your previous conversations. You can click through each conversation and scroll up to view historical texts. If you click into a message, you’ll see a timestamp of when the message was sent, with the date of the last conversation on the top of the page.
To create a new text, click on the chat icon on the top of the page. A window appears for a one-off compose. At the top of the window, you’ll see the phone number that’s being used to deliver your email. Just below this, you can enter the name of a prospect or a phone number to deliver a text message.
Enter your message on the bottom of the window and click “send.” On the bottom of the bubble you’ll see the delivery status. If the message is in the process of being delivered you’ll see “delivering”. If the message was sent successfully, you’ll see a timestamp indicating when the text message was delivered. You can access this window from any page in Outreach.
You can also click into an existing conversation to respond. Find the prospect or phone number that you need to reply to and click into the message history. On the bottom of the page, write your message. Click the “send” button to deliver your text to your prospect or customer.
Note: If it looks like your text messages are being delivered, but the recipient isn't getting them, it may be a case of a carrier blocking you number. We recommend trying another SMS number owned by another carrier. You can check which carrier owns a phone number by using this tool. We recommend reviewing Texting Best Practices to avoid having your number blocked.
