Prospect & Accounts List Views FAQs
Q: What happened to my existing Smart Views?
A: Most existing smart views have automatically migrated over to the new experience. There are a few types of views that did not automatically migrate over. If you can no longer find one of your views, please reach out to your Outreach Admin. For more information on accessing migrated views, refer to the How To Access Saved Prospect Views article.
Q: Will my old views work in this new experience?
A: Yes! But if you created a saved view in the new experience and reverted back to the old experience, those newly created and saved views will no longer be available.
Q: Do the new views support the existing Advanced Search functionality?
A: Yes. All remaining search and Advanced Search functionality will continue to be supported.
Q: How does Outreach's search feature work?
A: When you use search, Outreach looks for the searched values in the Prospect Name, Title, Company Name, Account Name, Prospect Tags, and Stage Name.
Q: I used to be able to select records 50 at a time, page by page. How do I do that now?
A: The new views supports infinite scrolling. All you will need to do is scroll down to view more records.
Q: How do I multi-select a list of records?
A: The combination Shift+Click selects a list of records or you can individually check the boxes next to each record. To select in bulk, you can use the select all check box, or you can scroll through the list and select specific records.
Q: How do I filter by Accounts on the Prospect page?
A: We call this cross object filtering. Say for example you want to see all of your Prospects who are related to accounts where the Account Company type is Current Customer, and Account Industry is Financial Services. Access the Accounts page, apply the applicable filters, chose "select all" and "select Prospects." This will take you to a list of Prospects related to those Accounts, you will know you've done this right when you see a "with many accounts" filter applied. Feel free to add additional filtering to the Prospects if you'd like, then save the view to be used for later. The great part about this feature is that if a new account meets your original conditions, the related Prospects from that account will show up in your Prospect view automatically.
Q: Why are the total counts on the Prospect and Accounts pages limited?
A: In certain cases, when you Outreach instance has a very large amount of data, Outreach limits the total count in the UI. This is just a limit set on the Outreach UI, Outreach does not have a limit on how many records you can actually store in the platform.
Q: Where did the Reports section go that used to be in the top-right corner?
A: Reports and Insights have moved to the Reports page.
Q: How do I revert to the old view of the Prospects landing page?
A: Outreach Admins are able to opt their entire org out of the new experience.
For more information regarding disabling the new list view experience, refer to the How To Disable the New List View Experience article.
This option will be available through October 1, 2020, after which all users will be pushed to the new experience.
Note: Disabling this view will impact your entire org for both the Accounts and Prospects landing pages.
