Purpose:
The purpose of this article is to provide direction to Outreach users in navigating the updated Outreach Sales Engagement Add-In for Outlook Native Send experience.

- The Outreach Sales Engagement add-in for Outlook must be installed and enabled to complete this process. For more information on installing the Outreach Sales Engagement Add-In, refer to the applicable articles.

How To Access the Outreach Sales Engagement Panel:
- Access Outlook.
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing email.
- Click the Open Outreach icon in the Outlook ribbon.
Note: Outlook Web App users will find this option at the bottom of the email in the more options (...) menu.
How To Insert Templates into an Outlook Email:
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing email.
- Access the Outreach Sales Engagement Panel. Note: Alternatively, click the Templates icon in the Outlook ribbon.
- Search and select the applicable template.
Note: To track links in the template, copy the link URL from the template, click Insert tracked link, paste the URL into the Web address (URL) field, and input the text to display in the Display text field.
The selected template is added as configured.
Note: Tracking in the template will reflect the tracking settings of the template in the Outreach platform. If the user has open tracking enabled, the indicator for open tracking will automatically be reflected. If the user has link tracking enabled, the links in the template will automatically update the tracked links indicator and show in the URL details page.
How To Add Snippets to Outlook Emails:
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing email.
- Access the Outreach Sales Engagement Panel.
- Click Snippets.
- Search and select the applicable snippet to include.
Note: To track links in the snippet, copy the link URL from the snippet, click Insert tracked link, paste the URL into the Web address (URL) field, and input the text to display in the Displayed text field.
The selected snippet is inserted to the email as configured.
How To Insert Availability:
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing email.
- Access the Outreach Sales Engagement Panel.
- Click Insert Availability.
- Click the applicable date and time slots to send.
- Complete adding meeting details as applicable.
- Click Insert Available Times.
The intended parties will receive the meeting invite with available time slots hyperlinked.
How To Insert an Inbox Bump:
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing email.
- Access the Outreach Sales Engagement Panel.
- Click Bump.
- Select the applicable time frame to have the mail bumped. Note: Click Custom date/time to input a unique bump schedule.
- Select how the bump will be triggered based on the description below.
Action Description If I do not receive a reply The email is moved to the top of the inbox within the user-defined time frame if a reply is not received from the party in listed in the To: field. No matter what The email is moved to the top of the inbox within the user-defined time frame regardless of email activity. - Click Bump.
The email will move to the top of the inbox as configured.
Note: Click Remove Bump to remove the bump actions for this email.
How To Add Prospects to a Sequence:
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing email.
- Access the Outreach Sales Engagement Panel. Note: Alternatively, click the Sequence icon in the Outlook ribbon.
- Search and select the applicable sequence. Note: Click Show Steps to review the steps included in a sequence.
- Click to select which recipients are added to the sequence. Note: A primary recipient must be selected to continue.
- Click the clock icon to customize when the first step of the sequence should initiate.
- Click Set Follow-Up.
The Prospect is added to the sequence as configured.
How To Insert Tracked Links into Outlook Emails:
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing email.
- Access the Outreach Sales Engagement Panel.
- Click Insert tracked link.
- Input the URL in the Web address (URL) field.
Note: Full URLs are required for this feature to function.
Example: https://urlexample.com/ - Input the text to display for the link in the Displayed text field.
- Click Insert.
The tracked link is added to the email as configured.
Link Tracking with Snippets and Templates:
Users can track links within Snippets and Templates by completing the applicable Insert Snippets, or Insert Templates process, and copying the embedded links to the Web address URL field in the Insert tracked links panel.
Additionally, users can copy and paste the snippet or template verbiage into the Displayed text field if the user wants to display text instead of the URL.
Tracking in the template will reflect the tracking settings of the template in the Outreach platform. If the user has open tracking enabled, the links in the template will automatically update the tracked links indicator and show in the URL details page.
How To Disable Open Tracking:
Notes:
- Open tracking is enabled by default.
- If a user disables open tracking, but sends the email, that email will be tracked.
- If a user disables open tracking, all future emails will not be tracked until open tracking is re-enabled.
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing email.
- Access the Outreach Sales Engagement Panel.
- Click to disable Open Tracking.
Outreach will not track future emails.
