The purpose of this article is to provide information to Outreach admins regarding Field Level Governance for Opportunity Amount.

Overview
Field Level Governance for Opportunity Amount provides admins an additional governance control to restrict visibility of the amount field within Opportunities that their users own or have access to. This new option will be available in all Profiles under the Opportunities section.
An example of a user with the governance disabled and enabled is provided below:

Procedure
Admins can turn on Field Level Governance for Opportunity amount for specific Profiles by going to Administration > Users & permissions > Profiles > Choose the Profile you want to enforce > Opportunities > Can view opportunities > Amount
The following options are supported along with their visibility behavior:

| None | User can’t see the amount irrespective of their ownership of the Opportunity |
| Owned by them | Users will be able to see the amount field only for Opportunities they own |
| Assigned to them and their reports | Users will be able to see the amount field for any Opportunity that they own, or have access to through Governance Roles hierarchy |
| Assigned to them, their reports and their peers | Users will be able to see the amount field for any Opportunity that they own, or have access to through Governance Roles hierarchy |

Limitations
It is important to note that the Field Level Governance for Opportunity amount is enforced only inside experiences where the product exposes the field on user facing UI. The field might still be visible if you’ve any customized UI that Outreach doesn’t control or through API endpoints. It is also not enforced in scenarios where the field is used for backend calculations like, for example, Forecasting or Pipeline Summaries.
