Overview of Data Retention Practices
A data retention policy is a recognized and proven protocol within an organization for retaining information for operational use while supporting your ability to comply with company requirements. The data retention policies within an organization are a set of guidelines that describes which data will be retained, how long it will be kept, what happens to the data at the end of the retention period, and other factors concerning the retention of the data. These requirements can be derived from legal interpretation of any legislative requirements, or as a result of company policies. Outreach can help our customers meet their compliance and data privacy obligations by providing control over how long their data persists within Outreach.
How does Data Retention work in the Outreach platform?

Once an admin sets the retention period to a desired duration, the data deletion process will be triggered on schedule without any involvement from the admin thereafter.
