Objective
The purpose of this article is to provide Outreach Admins with information about how to configure their organization’s sales period length and fiscal year start month.

Procedure
- Log in to Outreach as an Admin.
- Click Administration > Org info.
- Select the Fiscal year and Sales period length.
- Click Save.
Outreach recommends you select the Fiscal Year start month and Sales period length, to match your CRM configuration, to ensure reporting consistency.
For the fiscal year start, an Outreach admin can select any month.
For sales period length, an Outreach admin can select 1 month or 3 months (representing a quarterly sales period).
The default setting for a new organization is a fiscal year starting in January and a sales period length of 3 months.
Where are these settings used?
- Forecasting rollup and Scenario planner experiences
- Pipeline reporting on the Pipeline Summary page and Pipeline Movement page
- The entire reporting suite including, Team Performance, Sequence Performance, Pipeline Generation, Sales Execution and Custom reporting layouts.
- This Quarter, Next Quarter close date filters on the Opportunity page
- Goals (e.g., Quota) start and end quarters and year
