Objective
This guide walks through using cross-object filtering in Outreach. This powerful feature allows users to filter records in both standard and custom objects by leveraging fields from their associated records. This enables teams to surface relevant records efficiently, creating more targeted workflows and insights.
Applies To
- Outreach Users
Before you begin
Ensure that your custom objects are properly set up and have established associations with standard objects like Prospects, Accounts, and Opportunities.
Procedure: Filtering standard objects by custom objects
This procedure explains how to filter a standard object (e.g., Prospects) using fields from an associated custom object (e.g., a custom Campaign member object).
-
Navigate to the list view of the standard object you want to filter (e.g., Prospects, Accounts, or Opportunities).
-
Click the "Add Filter" button.
-
In the filter sidebar, locate the section for associated custom objects. Here, you will find fields from your custom objects (e.g., ‘Campaign’ from ‘Campaign Member’).
-
Choose a field from the custom object you want to use for filtering.
-
Select an operator (e.g., equals, contains, greater than) and input the desired value.
-
Click "Done". The list will now display custom object records matching your criteria.

Note: You can select up to 200 records at a time for bulk prospect selection.
