Purpose
The purpose of this article is to provide direction to Outreach admins in mapping Outreach Assigned fields on Prospects, Accounts, and Opportunities to the corresponding custom lookup fields in Salesforce.
Intended Audience
- Outreach Admins
Notes:
- The CRM Sync experience listed here includes both the Classic Plugin experience and the new Enhanced CRM Sync Experience which is currently in Beta. For instructions on the Enhanced CRM Sync Experience, see section Enhanced CRM Sync Beta.
- If you are an existing Outreach customer currently using CRM and mapping the Outreach Owner field to your CRM Owner field (or equivalent), you must also map the Outreach Assigned field to the same CRM Owner (or equivalent) field either through Plugins or by using our APIs. You must do this for Prospect, Account and Opportunities even if you are not planning to use Multi-User Assignment right away for all record types.
This is required to ensure backward compatibility with the governance profiles you are already using in your organization for access control. You can learn more about why this is required and some additional considerations in the Multi-User Assignment Migration Overview for existing Outreach customers.
