Enable Voice Integrity in Outreach to Register U.S. Purchased Phone Numbers

Objective

Use the Voice Integrity feature in Outreach to automatically register your U.S. purchased phone numbers, reducing the likelihood of calls with these numbers being flagged as spam.

  • Outreach Admins

Before you begin

Please note the following about the Voice Integrity feature:

  • Requires Outreach Voice service
  • Only impacts U.S. purchased numbers (i.e., does not apply to imported numbers)
  • Covers the same providers as registering through the Free Caller Registry.
  • Supports the spam analytics providers used by AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon*
    * Mobile/Wireless phone providers in the U.S. are increasingly labeling phone numbers as spam, leading to reduced call answer rates and increased blocking of calls due to negative reputation. Voice Integrity registers US purchased phone numbers with analytics providers for these carriers to help mitigate spam designation of these numbers.

Procedure

Configure a Business profile

To begin, you will need to create a business profile for your organization if you have not done so already.

  1. Log in to Outreach as an Admin.
  2. Navigate to Admin Settings > Tools > Phone numbers > Compliance & Trust.
  3. Create a profile.

You will need the following information:

  • Business Name
  • Physical Address (Street, City, State/Province/Region, Postal Code, Country)
  • Business Type (Sole Proprietorship/Partnership/Corporation /Co-Operative/LLC/Non-Profit)
  • Company Type (Private/Public)
  • Stock Ticker & Exchange (if Public)
  • Business Registration Number and Type
    • Note: For A2P 10DLC registration, you must provide your Tax ID / EIN
  • Industry
  • Website
  • Regions of Operations
  • Authorized Representative (Note: Authorized representatives must be publicly verifiable employees of your company)
    • Last name
    • First name
    • Email
    • Title
    • Job position
    • Phone number

Once submitted, your entry will be reviewed by our voice provider, Twilio. Note that approval may take 48 hours or longer. 

Activate Voice Integrity

Once your Business Profile has been approved, you can activate Voice Integrity.

  1. Navigate to Admin Settings > Tools > Phone numbers > Compliance & Trust.
  2. Navigate to Voice Integrity
  3. Click Create.
  4. Once complete, click Submit for approval.

Once activated, it will apply voice integrity to all existing US purchased phone numbers. Additionally, when you purchase a new number, it will also be automatically added to voice integrity. Note: It may take up to 48 hours for your numbers to be registered after approval, as well as on each subsequently purchased number. 

If a number you own is marked as spam by one of the carriers, our voice provider, Twilio, will work to with the carriers to remediate the spam label and have it removed within 10 business days.
