How To Assign Collections to Teams

Objective 

The purpose of this article is to provide direction to Outreach Users in adding teams to collections. 

Assigning collections to teams provides an opportunity for teams to quickly sort through Outreach content that is most relevant to the team's role. 

Once you've organized your Outreach content into different collections, the collection of content can be assigned to a team.

Procedure

1. Access the Outreach Platform. 
2. Click Administration > Teams.
3. Sort, filter, and select the applicable Teams. 
4. Click the folder icon and select Add to Collections. 
   Note: Click Remove from Collections to remove teams from assigned collections.
5. Select the applicable collection and click Add. 

The teams are now assigned to the collection.

Alternatively, teams can be added to collections via the Settings tab on the Teams page. 

1. Access the Outreach Platform. 
2. Access the Teams List View. 
3. Click the applicable team's name. 
4. Click Settings in the menu bar. 
5. Select the applicable collection to add. 
6. Click Save.

The team has been assigned to the collection.

Sorting Content by Collection

Once a collection is assigned to a team, they can sort content by the collection to find relevant content quickly. You can only see collections for teams you are part of. 

You can only sort content by collections when adding Prospects to a sequence. 

Note: When you search for your content, you will always see your favorites at the top of the list. If you have content that you've created yourself, these pieces of content will show after your favorites. Below your favorites and content that you own, you will see the content included in the team collection. 

You also have the ability to sort and filter snippet, template, and sequence collections. When you open the sort and filter drawer on any of these three pages, you have a collection menu that segments content contained within the collection selected. Save your frequent searches as a smart view to find the content you need in a few clicks.
