Purpose:

The purpose of this article is to provide direction to Outreach users in enabling the Display Record Name field in Outreach for Salesforce.

Intended Audience:

Whenever you map an Outreach text field to a CRM, you may want to import the record name (instead of ID) of the related CRM object referenced in the CRM look field.

Examples:

  • Mapping AE Owner (user lookup field) for leads or contacts to an Outreach Custom field.
  • Mapping CRM campaign field for Leads or Contacts to an Outreach Custom field.
  • Mapping a CRM Lead Source lookup field to an Outreach Prospect Source field.
  • Mapping a CRM custom lookup field to an Outreach Custom field.

Procedure

  1. Access the Outreach Platform.
  2. Access the CRM Integration.
  3. Click the applicable Object Mapping in the Mappings list.
  4. On the Object Settings landing page, scroll down to Set field mapping section.
  5. On the right-hand side, click Add mapping to add another field.
  6. Select the applicable field from the Salesforce Field dropdown menu.
  7. Select the applicable custom field from the Outreach Field dropdown menu.
  8. Click to enable the Update Outreach option.
  9. Select Advanced Settings from the More actions (three dots) on the right-hand side of the field mapping.
  10. Click to enable the Display Name instead of the record ID option.
  11. Click Done.

Note: Mapped field and Display Name Instead of Record ID are mutually exclusive functionalities and cannot be enabled simultaneously.
