What trigger condition should I use for prospects that are or are not associated to an account?

Applies To

  • Trigger condition

  • Has Named Account? field

Answer

When building a trigger where the condition is for prospects that are or are not tied/linked to an account in the system, you will want to use the field, Has Named Account?.

We do not recommend using the Account > is empty, or Account Name > is empty condition due to how the Account field is on the backend and how it works with the prospect's Company field. We recommend using the Has Named Account? field if you want to find prospects that are or are not associated to an account.

As info, Account will populate and reference the accounts you have in the Outreach system.

Account Name is a text field. Although it will still pull from the Account field, it doesn't populate the accounts like the Account field does.

Additional Information

What is the difference between these fields/conditions: Account, Account name, and Has named account?
