How are emails scheduled when the Org-level email domain limit is reached?

Answer

Once the Org-level email domain limit is reached, any additional emails attempted to that domain will be scheduled to send at the next available time/date, as discussed here: How Outreach Schedules Email Deliveries.

 

If the email is part of a sequence step, the email will be scheduled based on the sequence schedule and any other sequence throttles that are in place. The example below shows what the error looks like from a scheduled email in a sequence.
