Answer

The reason you need to associate a prospect with the call when calling a certain phone number from Salesforce is because that number is present in the profile of several different prospects in Outreach.

To avoid that, you need to remove the phone number from the other prospects' profiles it is
present in, so that it is only present in the profile of one prospect.
