Objective
The purpose of this article is to provide information to Outreach Admins on the refreshed Users and Teams management experience. The new experience focuses on the core tasks that Outreach Admins perform on a daily basis.
Applies To
- Users and Teams Management
- Outreach Admins
Overview
There are four core tasks that Admins perform day to day in Outreach when it comes to Users and Teams Management. Our simplified navigation aligns with these four core tasks:
- Users - Go here to manage Users, their Job Roles and Subscriptions
- Groups - Go here to manage all kinds of User Groups including Outreach Teams, Account Teams.
- Sign-in - Go here to manage your Single Sign On and other Auth settings
- Access - Go here to manage all types of access control - Profiles, Collections and Layouts
For existing customers you can find full details on where your favorite pages went in the FAQs.
Users
The Users page is where you can go to manage your Users, Job Roles and Subscriptions
Manage users inside Outreach
On this page you can manage users, assign licenses, Job Roles, reset passwords, send claim links and other day to day user lifecycle tasks. With this release, we are also making improvements to our filters and export experiences to make them more robust.
Automated user provisioning and management
Outreach provides robust integration tools that you can use to manage users fully automatically. Check out our CRM, SCIM and APIs to understand how you can set up automatic management.
Groups
The new Groups page is where you can go to manage all your Outreach Teams and Account Teams (if you use the Team Selling via Account Teams feature)
Outreach Teams
All of your existing Outreach Teams will show up here. If you are using Team Selling with Salesforce Account Teams, they will also show up here as a separate tab. As part of this change, the User Roles has also moved to this section. There’s no change in functionality.
Sign-in
The Sign-in page is where you can go to manage your Single sign-on settings for SSO Orgs, cross instance set ups, dynamic user provisioning and username/password and session settings for customers using basic authentication.
By consolidating all things authentication into a single page, we’re hoping to make day to day management easier.
For customers that can, Outreach recommends Single Sign On experience. Additionally, you can manage your Cross-Instance sign in and set up Dynamic Provisioning of users.
Access control
The Access control page is where you can go to manage your Profiles, Collections and Layouts. You can add descriptions to your Profiles.
