Why doesn't the Outreach engagement icon show for some prospects that have engaged with us in a sequence?

Answer

The Outreach engagement icon only shows if the activity occurred on the most recent sequence email to the Prospect. Even if the prospect has opened, clicked, or replied to another prior sequence email, the icon only shows if the activity occurred on the most recent sequence email they received.

Scenario 1: Prospect A receives sequence email 1. Prospect A opens sequence email 1. The engagement icon will show for them on the sequence's Prospects tab.

Scenario 2: Prospect A receives sequence email 1. Prospect A opens sequence email 1. Prospect A receives sequence email 2. The engagement icon will no longer show, because it only calculates off the most recent email.

Scenario 3: Prospect A receives sequence email 1. Prospect A later receives sequence email 2. Prospect A opens sequence email 1. The engagement icon will not show, because it only calculates off the most recent email.
