SKUID Overlay for your CRM

Objective

Outreach has created a URL that works with the SKUID overlay in CRMs such as Salesforce Lightning, which will open an existing prospect in Outreach or, if the prospect does not yet exist in Outreach, import the corresponding Lead/Contact from your CRM to Outreach.

Outreach Admins can use the below to locate the information required to construct this URL to add the Import to Outreach button in the SKUID Overlay for CRMs.

Applies To

  • Outreach Admins

Notes

  • To take advantage of this workflow, your CRM Admin will need to build an Import to Outreach button.
  • Once you’ve configured these settings, existing prospects can be opened in Outreach by clicking on the SKUID button. If they do not exist in Outreach, you’ll be asked to confirm whether or not you’d like to add the lead/contact as a prospect in Outreach.
  • Currently, these steps enable the import of a single lead/contact at a time.

URL Anatomy

For the purposes of this article a basic understanding of an Outreach URL's anatomy is beneficial:

ID/Type Description
Production Environment

The Production Environment (aka bento ID) is the subdomain of the URL.

Note: As of the 2023 updated Outreach experience, this may be found in your Outreach app Org Info.

CRM Plugin ID

The CRM Plugin ID is the ID of the active plugin and can be found in the URL for the specific CRM Plugin Settings instance.

Example: The below URL contains the Plugin ID 10.

https://web.outreach.io/admin-exp/crms/sfdcsandbox/_pluginID_10_connectorName_sbx
External Type

The Object (Lead or Contact).

Note: This can be templated from the SKUID button.

External ID

The Object ID.

Note: This can be templated from the SKUID button.

A correct URL will look similar to:

https://app1b.outreach.io/auto-import?pluginId=3&externalType=lead&externalId=0030V00003OmcV3QAJ
