How To Add an Outreach Phone Number

Objective

The purpose of this article is to provide direction to Outreach Users in adding or importing a phone number to Outreach Voice.

Notes 

• Users must configure a phone number with the Outreach Platform in order to make calls. For more information regarding Outreach number types and use, refer to the Managing Outreach Phone Numbers article. 
• Outreach Admins have the ability to govern Outreach Voice, including the purchasing, importing, and configuring of phone numbers. For more information regarding Governance Profile Settings and how they are assigned, refer to the applicable articles listed in the Additional Resources section of this article.  
• Using imported number lists is not a recommended practice due to risk of outgoing calls to Prospects being registered as spam.

 Procedure

1. Access the Outreach Platform. 
2. Hover over the User's initials (avatar) in the bottom-left corner of the navigation sidebar and click Personal Settings.
3. In the Voice tile, click Phone Numbers. 
4. Click either of the following as applicable:
   • Add personal phone number - Add your personal phone number into Outreach for outbound calls.
     Note: The Outreach Platform will call you to enter a verification code. You'll then be able to make outbound calls using this phone number.
   • Purchase new phone number - Purchase a new phone number for calls, text messages, and voicemail.
     Note: Phone number pricing is dependent on the country the number is in. For more information regarding purchasing and managing international numbers, refer to the International Number Overview and FAQs article.
     
5. Complete required fields and selections, then click Continue.
6. Proceed through the prompts then Save.

The number has now been configured for use with Outreach Voice and appears in your Phone numbers list (Personal Settings > Voice > Phone numbers).
