Objective
Add new users to your Outreach instance and assign them licenses. Note that your org must have open Outreach user seats (licenses) available in order to add users.

Procedures
Add a New User
- Access the Outreach Platform.
- Click Administration > User Management.
- Click Users.
- In the top right, click the Add User button.
Note: The number of seats available to the Org is listed above and to the right of the user table, to the far right. - In the Add new user window, configure your new user as applicable. This includes information relating to:
- User info
- Permissions/Governance (Learn more about governance profile settings here.)
- License
- Notifications
- Related email recipients
- Any custom fields
Note: Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
Assign a License to a User
If a user has been created already, a license can still be assigned.
- Select a user.
- Click Edit license > Assign licenses.
- Select Engage.
- Click Assign.
- Click Edit license > Assign add-ons.
- Assign the appropriate add-on.
- Click Assign.
Resolve Potential Errors
While configuring a User seat, Admins may encounter the following:

Error Message: Email has already been taken
This error occurs when the email address input for the new User is already in use by another User. In some cases, the email address is currently associated with an inactive user in a locked seat. To determine this, filter the Users list by Locked and review the results. -
Changes Do Not Save
The Outreach Platform does not save the new User when all the available licenses are in use. You will need to either free up a user seat or follow the process to request added seats from Outreach.
