Purpose:
The purpose of this article is to provide information to Outreach users regarding the Microsoft Dynamics plugin in Outreach.
After the Outreach plugin has been connected to Outreach, the Dynamics Plugin becomes active within the Plugins landing page.
Accessing the plugin provides access to several features and functions to assist in mapping, syncing, and management operations.
For more information on accessing the Dynamics Plugin, refer to the How to Access CRM Plugin Settings in Outreach article.
The Microsoft Dynamics Plugin contains four separate pages and are accessed via the menu bar: Types, Settings, Activity, and Logs.
Types
The Types page displays different objects within Dynamics. Each object has options that control how data is exchanged between Outreach and Dynamics.
Settings
Outreach has a setting that allows you to control whether Outreach automatically syncs Dynamics users into Outreach when the Dynamics plugin is reconnected. If the toggle is disabled we will not sync Dynamics users into Outreach when the plugin is reconnected. If the toggle is enabled we will sync Dynamics users into Outreach upon plugin reconnection.
This setting is enabled by default.
Activity
The Activity page displays a user-friendly view of what information has been synced to and from Dynamics, as well as when the sync happened.
Logs
The Logs page will provide an in-depth technical overview of user and sync activity. The logs display will display which actions are happening when and if Outreach is able to sync.
