Opportunity Governance in Reporting

Objective

The purpose of this article is to provide information to Outreach Admins on governing opportunity data in reporting. Opportunity Governance in Reporting provides greater control on which profiles can access this data by enforcing a baseline of opportunity access and layering on additional enforcement.

Applies To

  • Governance and Reporting

Overview

If a customer is syncing in Opportunity data to Outreach, this feature applies to who has access to see this data in the Sales Execution, Sequence Performance, and Team Performance: Outcomes Report.

First, Outreach enforces access control on if the profile is enabled for "Can use opportunities” as a preliminary check. If this checkbox is enabled, by default the user will be able to see opportunity data in reporting.

In addition, this feature also enforces a checkbox for reporting specifically. If an admin wants to specifically limit who can view opportunity data in the above mentioned reports, they can use this checkbox to do so.

Additional Information

Note: This area of reporting does not inherit other permissions from Opportunity governance such as which opportunities a user can view or edit. These are analytical settings separate from transactional governance. Outreach provides other reporting enforcement controls like if a given profile can only view reports associated with team membership.
