Note: Feature(s) Pending Rollout

Features and functionality described on this page are part of our February 2026 release, which is rolling out to eligible customers February 12-March 13, 2026. See our Release Notes here to learn more.

Objective

The purpose of this article is to provide guidance to Outreach Admins on embedding the Smart Account Plan directly into Salesforce Account records.

The Smart Account Plan widget allows Outreach account strategy and insights to be surfaced inside Salesforce, enabling sales teams and leaders to view and update account plans without leaving the CRM.

This reduces context switching and increases visibility into Outreach-generated account intelligence.

Applies To

  • Outreach Admins

  • Salesforce Admins

  • Outreach customers using Salesforce Lightning Experience

Before You Begin

  • You must have Admin access in Outreach to manage Account layouts

  • You must have Admin access in Salesforce to create Visualforce pages and edit Lightning layouts

  • The Smart Account Plan must already be configured and available in Outreach

Procedure

Step 1: Retrieve the Embed Code from Outreach

  1. In Outreach, navigate to Accounts

  2. Select the Account layout you want to embed in Salesforce.

  3. Open the layout’s context menu and select Embed layout.

  4. In the embed dialog, click Copy to clipboard to copy the embed code.

Step 2: Create a Visualforce Page in Salesforce

  1. In Salesforce, go to Setup.

  2. Navigate to Custom Code → Visualforce Pages.

  3. Click New to create a new Visualforce page.

  4. Paste the embed code copied from Outreach into the Visualforce editor.

  5. Save the Visualforce page.

Step 3: Add the Widget to the Salesforce Account Page

  1. In Salesforce Setup, go to Object Manager → Account.

  2. Select Lightning Record Pages.

  3. Edit the Account Lightning page where you want the Smart Account Plan to appear.

  4. Drag the newly created Visualforce component onto the desired section of the page.

  5. Save and activate the page layout.

Once completed, users will see a new Outreach Account Plan tab or section on Salesforce Account records.

Additional Information

  • The Smart Account Plan is embedded, not synced. All data remains stored in Outreach and is displayed in real time.

  • Access to view or edit the Account Plan is governed by Outreach permissions, not Salesforce permissions.

  • Actions that cannot be completed within the embedded experience will open in a new browser tab.
