Unmapped CRM-Required Fields Overview
To assist users in mapping fields in a CRM plugin, Outreach identifies which fields are required at a system level. In the event a user attempts to save without mapping a CRM-required field, Outreach produces a notification informing the user that CRM-required fields have not been mapped.
The dialog informs the user which required fields are not mapped and provides the options to map the required fields at a later time, or to add the applicable mapping before proceeding. In the event the user chooses to map the CRM-required fields later, the Outbound Create option for that plugin type is temporarily disabled (if applicable) to avoid syncing conflicts.
Note: Clicking Later saves current configuration.
If the user chooses to map the CRM-required fields, new field mappings are automatically added for the CRM-required fields but the user needs to select which Outreach fields to map the fields to.
To Map CRM-required Fields:
- Click Add on the prompt.
- Configure the field mapping as applicable.
- Click Save.
Your current configuration is saved.
If there are incomplete field mappings, an error displays, indicating the incomplete mapping of CRM-required fields.
Once the CRM-required fields are mapped completely, the user can save the current configuration without error.
Unmapped Notification Email
When Outreach records fail to sync to a CRM, Outreach checks whether the CRM-required fields are mapped. If the CRM-required fields are not mapped, Outreach automatically disables the Outbound Create function and sends all Outreach Admins listed in the Org a notification that there are unmapped required fields and that Outbound Create for the affected object type has been disabled. To re-enable Outbound Create, map the CRM-required fields and then re-enable Outbound Create.
Note: Outreach will not disable Outbound Update.
