Configuring Website Visit Signals

Objective

The purpose of this article is to provide guidance and information to Outreach Admins in setting up and managing Website visit signals.

Website visit signals allow customers to identify companies and individuals at companies that are showing intent for their products or services by visiting the customers' web pages. Using these signals, sales teams can target, prioritize, and personalize outreach through sales plays.

Note: Website visit signals indicate increased web visit activity for an account or prospect.

Website visit signals are classified into the following types:

  1. Website visit signal high (Account) : indicates High activity of website visits for the Account
  2. Website visit signal medium (Account) : indicates Medium activity of website visits for the Account
  3. Website visit signal high (Prospect) : indicates High activity of website visits from an identified Prospect in an Account
  4. Website visit signal medium (Prospect) : indicates Medium activity of website visits from an identified Prospect in an Account

Applies To

  • Amplify SKU customers
  • Revenue and other AI Agents
  • Account and Prospect Management
  • Smart Data Enrichment (ZoomInfo)

Before you begin

  • Two primary personas are involved: (1) the Admin configures the website signals, (2) the Seller/Sales Ops persona utilizes the signals to perform outreach manually or automatically via agents.
  • This feature requires that the websites are set up for tracking using (in this case) ZoomInfo (see details here).

Overview

Admin setup

The Outreach setup requires Data Enrichment to be enabled for the Website activity category (Administration > Integrations -> Data enrichment). Once enabled, the website activity signals are configured to be retrieved from ZoomInfo based on the overall pace and frequency of enrichment.

Seller experience

1. Account Activity

Active Website visit signals for an Account are visible in the Account's activity stream.

Sellers can see details such as the strength, visited URL, and visited date for Account signals. For Prospect signals, sellers can also see the visitor's name

2. Revenue Agent

The Revenue Agent now allows RevOps and Seller personas to target Accounts based on these new signals. Increased website visits are a clear indicator of intent and, therefore, a powerful targeting tool.

3. Personalization Agent

The Personalization Agent now allows RevOps and Seller personas to personalize messages based on these new signals. Once the prompt is modified to include the buyer data signals, the email personalization utilizes the website visit activity details, such as signal strength, URL visited, and date of visit, to augment the personalized message.
