Can the Personalization Agent Embed Clickable Hyperlinks in Email Output?

Created by Álvaro Vázquez, Modified on Thu, 25 Jun at 8:03 AM by Álvaro Vázquez

Symptom
The user wants to include a closing sentence in their AI-personalized emails that encourages recipients to book time via a calendar link (e.g., "pick a time here"). However, the link appears as a raw URL in the final email instead of a clickable hyperlink.

Before You Begin

Embedding clickable hyperlinks natively within the AI personalization output is not currently supported. The personalization agent generates plain text paragraphs only — it can not produce rich-text formatting such as embedded hyperlinks.

Resolution

Workaround (single-language use cases only):

  1. Remove the closing "pick a time here" sentence from the Gen AI personalization instructions.
  2. Add that sentence directly in the sequence step's email template body, below the {{personalization}} variable.
  3. Use the rich text editor to highlight the word "here," insert a proper hyperlink, and paste the calendar URL.

Why this doesn't work for EMEA / multilingual use cases:

  • The personalization agent also translates the email based on the prospect's country. Adding the closing sentence directly in the template would only work in one language (e.g., English). Since the template body is static, it can not be dynamically translated the way the personalization prompt output is.

This requires a Feature Request. Please submit a feature request ticket to the support team in the Support Portal.

There is no current workaround that supports both embedded hyperlinks and multilingual output within the personalization agent.
