Sync Gong Recordings to Kaia

Objective

Connect Gong to Outreach Kaia so existing Gong call recordings sync into Kaia.

Applies To

Org admins on an organization enabled for both Outreach Kaia and Gong.

Before You Begin

• Your organization must already be enabled for both Outreach Kaia and Gong.
• You will need a Gong Admin to retrieve an API key from Gong before you can complete setup in Outreach.

Overview

Outreach Kaia can import existing call recordings from Gong through a direct API connection. Once connected, an org admin chooses whether to sync all Gong recordings or only recordings hosted by active Outreach users.

Note: Recordings synced from Gong whose host is not recognized as an Outreach user will be treated as public, since Kaia's current governance model has no other way to restrict access to them.

Procedure

1. In Gong, have a Gong Admin go to Admin Center > Ecosystem > API and click Get API Key. Pass this key to your Outreach org admin.
2. Log in to Outreach as an Org Admin.
3. Click Administration > Tools > Kaia.
4. Scroll down to Import Recordings from 3rd Parties.
5. Locate Gong in the list of options and click Connect.
6. In the dialog that appears, enter the API credentials retrieved in step 1.
7. You will be redirected to the Gong integration settings. Choose one of the following sync options:
   • Sync all recordings: syncs back all Gong recordings, including those whose host is not an active Outreach user.
   • Only sync recordings from active Outreach users: syncs back only Gong recordings where the host is also an active Outreach user.
