August 2026 Release Overview

The August release focuses on expanding capabilities across Outreach Agents, building enterprise-ready AI through new governance tools, and driving additional self-learning context and knowledge within Outreach. Review the details of new features below, shipping to customers August 13th– September 1st, 2026.

Agents & AI

Omni Full-Screen Experience

Give Omni conversations and generated content the room a full screen provides.

Summary

Omni now supports a full-screen mode that replaces the modal experience, keeping the left navigation visible while giving conversations and generated content more room to breathe. Each conversation gets a dedicated, linkable URL, and clicking a referenced record opens it in a slide-out without disrupting the conversation.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Open Omni in full screen from a dedicated left-nav item, an icon at the top of the chat, or by expanding from the side panel.
  • Get a dedicated, linkable URL for each conversation, with history you can collapse or expand.
  • Click an account, sequence, or other record mentioned in the chat to open it in a slide-out while the conversation stays active in the background.
  • Return to exactly where you left off, since back navigation and scroll position are preserved when switching between full screen and the side panel.

Omni Bot in Slack Channels

Bring Omni into the Slack channels your team already works in.

Summary

Omni is now available directly in Slack, either in the Outreach Slack app's Chat tab or by inviting the @Outreach bot into any channel. Conversations are persistent and threaded, and admins control visibility, scope, and channel exceptions from dedicated settings.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Chat with Omni in the Outreach Slack app, or invite @Outreach into a channel and mention it to ask a question in a thread.
  • Return to previous conversations, since Omni in Slack keeps persistent chat history.
  • Have admins choose whether replies are visible to the whole channel or ephemeral, and control where Omni is available (everywhere, or restricted to DMs and App Home).
  • Let admins block Omni in specific sensitive or executive channels regardless of the broader scope setting.

Note: In a channel thread, only the person who started it can ask follow-up questions.

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • View, enable, or disable MCP connectors and knowledge sources from Omni on mobile.
  • View key opportunity details in a new read-only Opportunity Detail Page, and navigate there directly from an Omni conversation.
  • Execute, manage, and reply to SMS tasks from the mobile app.
  • Get Omni context retention and conversation-pill navigation, along with other usability improvements.

Deal Agent: Append and Prepend for Text Fields

Accept Deal Agent's AI-recommended updates without losing what's already there.

Summary

Deal Agent now supports Append and Prepend as field update options in addition to Replace. The Next Steps field defaults to Prepend, so accepted suggestions add to the field instead of overwriting it, unlocking accept, edit, and auto-accept for that field for the first time.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Choose Append, Prepend, or Replace for how a Deal Agent text field update is applied.
  • See Next Steps default to Prepend automatically, so new insights are added ahead of prior context.
  • Accept Next Steps suggestions directly in the Outreach UI and in the Slack app, which also adds an edit option.

Deal Agent: Notifications in Microsoft Teams

Get Deal Agent's AI-suggested updates delivered right into Microsoft Teams.

Summary

When Kaia detects a potential update to a field like Next Steps, Close Date, or Loss Reason after a call, the opportunity owner now receives a Microsoft Teams notification showing the suggestion, plus a link to act on it in Outreach.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Receive a Teams notification when AI detects a suggested update to an opportunity field after a Kaia call.
  • See what changed when a field is configured for auto-update, including the new value AI applied.
  • Click through from the Teams notification to review and act on the update in Outreach.

Deal Agent: Backfill for Inline Edit

Bring Deal Agent insights to your existing pipeline, not just new calls.

Summary

Admins can now trigger Deal Agent Backfill to generate AI insights from historical Kaia calls and meetings, not just conversations going forward. Backfill can run across all active Deal Agent fields at the org level, or target specific fields.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Trigger a one-time backfill of Deal Agent insights from the last 30 (default), 45, 60, or 90 days of Kaia calls.
  • Run backfill across all active Deal Agent fields at the org level, or target specific fields; useful right after adding a new field.
  • See progress and output for a backfill job under Bulk actions and keep working while it runs in the background.
  • Re-run field-level backfill up to 10 times a month, for example after updating a prompt.

Note: Org-level backfill costs 1 Amplify credit per meeting, with a confirmation step before charges apply. Field-level backfill is not charged.

Deal Agent: Notifications to Connected Slack Channels

Send Deal Agent's AI-driven opportunity updates to a shared Slack channel.

Summary

Anyone with edit access can connect a public Slack channel to an opportunity, so AI-suggested and auto-applied updates from Kaia calls post to that channel for the whole deal team, not only the opportunity owner's private notifications.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Connect a public Slack channel to an opportunity from the side panel or the opportunity overview.
  • See AI-suggested and auto-applied updates to fields like Next Steps, Close Date, and Deal Stage posted to the connected channel as they happen.
  • Act on suggested updates directly from the channel if you have edit access to the opportunity.

Note: Only one public Slack channel can be connected per opportunity.

Revenue Agent: Detailed Config Change Log

See exactly what changed the next time a Revenue Agent's targeting shifts.

Summary

Revenue Agent's Activity Log now shows a structured, grouped diff of exactly what changed in a configuration update, with old and new values side by side, instead of a generic update notice.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Open a Revenue Agent's Overview tab and expand "See changes" on any update event to view the full diff.
  • See each changed setting's old value and new value side by side.
  • Find changes grouped by category, including target accounts, target existing prospects, target new prospects, and prospect engagement settings, matching the layout used when editing the agent.

AI Control Hub

Give admins one place to govern which AI features are active.

Summary

AI Control Hub gives admins granular, org-level control over individual AI features, tied into licensing entitlements so access lines up with what an organization is subscribed to.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Enable or disable individual AI features for your organization from a single, admin-controlled hub.
  • Have AI feature access enforced automatically based on your organization's licensing entitlements.
  • Choose whether new AI features launch on or off by default for your org going forward.

AI Descriptions for Custom Fields

Help AI understand what your custom fields actually mean.

Summary

Admins can now add a plain language "Description for AI" to any custom field on Prospects, Accounts, Opportunities, Products, and Purchases, either written manually or imported from the mapped Salesforce field. AI features like Omni use these descriptions as context, so responses that reference custom field data are more accurate.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Add a short, plain-English description to a custom field from its configuration dialog.
  • Import the description automatically from the corresponding Salesforce field with one click, if the field is mapped.
  • Let Omni and other AI features use the description as context when reasoning over that field.
  • Leave it blank with no impact; AI falls back to interpreting the field from its label alone, same as today.

Note: The description is used by AI only; it is not shown to reps in the UI in this release.

Sales Engagement

Homepage: Meeting Tile Improvements

Focus on the meetings that matter most.

Summary

The Meeting tile now defaults to showing only meetings with prospect attendees and a clear account name associated with each meeting. This enhancement also includes a detailed slide-out where you can view and edit meetings without leaving the homepage.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • See only prospect meetings in the tile by default; switch to "All Meetings" at any time, and your choice is remembered across sessions.
  • Click any meeting to open its details in a slide-out and edit it without leaving the homepage.
  • See the account name on every meeting row automatically, with no setup required.

Meeting Custom Fields in the Public Calendar

Let buyers fill in meeting context before the call even starts.

Summary

Admins can now create external custom meeting fields that prospects fill out when booking via the public calendar. Once submitted, answers appear in the rep's meeting view with fields labeled as "From public calendar" information, and can be mapped and synced to CRM.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • See prospect-submitted answers appear in the meeting view, clearly labeled as "From public calendar" information, across the Outreach web app, Google Calendar extension, and Outlook add-in.
  • Require an answer before a prospect can complete booking via the public calendar.
  • Map external fields to CRM fields so prospect-provided answers sync automatically during event object sync.

Note: Required-field enforcement applies only when a prospect books through the public calendar, not when a rep books on their behalf. Outreach supports up to 150 custom meeting fields in total.

New Tools for Outreach MCP Server

Give agents access to tasks, teams, and richer meeting data through MCP.

Summary

Outreach MCP Server adds 11 new tools spanning task management, team-level context, org and job role metadata, deeper Kaia meeting access, and sequence tools, the biggest expansion of the toolset since agents gained create and delete access.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Create, search, and manage tasks through MCP, including priority and theme lookups, the same task queue reps see in Outreach.
  • Search and inspect teams for roll-up and cross-team analysis, and pull org and job role metadata for accurate reasoning.
  • Fetch full Kaia meeting summaries and transcripts for a specific meeting, governed by your existing Kaia permissions.

Note: Available to organizations with the Amplify add-on. All tools respect standard RBAC; an agent can only do what the underlying user is authorized to do.

Sequential Dialing: Manual Voicemail

Get clearer in-call status and drop a voicemail manually when you need to.

Summary

Sequential Dialing adds a new option to leave a voicemail manually instead of relying only on the automatic drop.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Leave a voicemail manually, in addition to the existing no-voicemail and automatic-drop options.
  • Turn on manual voicemail from your user voice settings.

Note: Admins need to create a new default disposition to support the manual voicemail option.

Mobile App (iOS and Android): SMS Tasks

Updates

  • Execute SMS tasks from the mobile app.
  • Manage SMS tasks, including delete and snooze, from mobile.

Account Management & Relationship Mapping

Account Overview and Plan Redesign

Scan quickly through your account scanning or focus on strategic planning.

Summary

The account page is now split into two dedicated tabs: Account Overview, a fast-scan operational page with a redesigned header and key tiles, and Account Plan, a document-like planning workspace with left-hand navigation and a layout built to give Research Agent's long-form output room to be read.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Land on Account Overview by default, with a redesigned header (Slack, website, LinkedIn, CRM links) and key tiles for details, meetings, opportunities, and Omni.
  • Switch to Account Plan for a single-column or grid planning workspace with left-hand section navigation.
  • Add comments directly on Account Plan tiles to collaborate with your team.
  • See Research Agent's long-form briefs rendered in a layout built for long-form reading, instead of a dense tile grid.
  • Toggle to a new canvas view, a single-column layout used specifically in the Account Plan tab as well as for Deal Strategy tiles

Note: Available to all Outreach customers at no additional cost; desktop only in this phase, with no changes to existing APIs or integrations.

Customizable Side Panel Fields

Set which fields show in your Account side panels, and how much you want to see.

Summary

Sellers can now control which fields appear in their Account side panels and how much of each is shown. Long-text fields are shortened automatically with an expand option, including a bulk action that can hide all long-text fields at once.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Open a configuration model from your side panel to toggle individual fields on or off, personally, without affecting other users.
  • Use bulk hide to collapse all long-text fields, most often Research Agent output, in one click, then re-enable any you want to keep.
  • See any field over 3 lines truncate automatically, with an expand control to read it in place.

Note: This is a personal setting, not an admin-controlled default, and field reordering isn't included in this release.

Predictive Search in List View Filters

Get to the right accounts and prospects in fewer keystrokes.

Summary

Build a list view filter with predictive, type-ahead dropdown of existing values when you type. You no longer need to know or copy-paste an exact value, especially fields with thousands of possible entries.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • See a dropdown of matching existing values appear once you've typed one or more characters into a free-text filter value.
  • Select a suggested value to fill in the filter exactly, eliminating typos and mismatches.
  • Use this on Prospect and Account free-text fields when the filter operator is set to "Is."

Note: No metering or admin configuration is involved; this is always on.

Deal Management & Success Plans

New Text Field Type on Opportunities that Supports Configurable Character Limits

Flexibly match your custom text field character limits to your CRM.

Summary

Custom fields on Opportunities in Outreach have a newly introduced field type called "Text Field (Custom Length)" that can be flexibly configured for character limits that align with your CRM field character limits.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Apply this field type to any custom text field on the Opportunity object.
  • Use it to set a maximum character limit on that field from the field's admin configuration.
  • Prevent values that exceed a connected CRM field's limit from erroring on sync.

Accept and Auto-Accept for Economic Buyer and Champion Fields

Accept suggested Economic Buyer and Champion values with one click, or automatically.

Summary

Economic Buyer and Champion fields now support a Prospect appearance option. Instead of only a two-line text insight, Deal Agent can output an actual prospect name that you can accept directly, and admins can configure auto-accept for it.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Set Economic Buyer or Champion to the new Prospect appearance so Deal Agent outputs a prospect name instead of two-line text.
  • Accept a matched prospect name directly, where previously the accept button was hidden for these fields.
  • Configure auto-accept for Economic Buyer and Champion once the Prospect appearance is in use.
  • Keep using two-line appearance if you prefer; Prospect is an additional option, not a replacement.

Improved Buyer/Seller Tagging in Kaia

More accurately tell buyer speech from seller speech in a call.

Summary

Kaia previously identified a speaker as a seller only if they held a licensed Kaia seat, which mislabeled unlicensed teammates as buyers. Participant matching now also checks whether a speaker's email domain matches the meeting host's, so internal teammates are correctly tagged even without a Kaia license.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • See colleagues correctly tagged as internal participants even when they don't hold a Kaia license.
  • Get this applied automatically, using email domain matching alongside existing prospect and Kaia-user matching; no configuration required.
  • Trust that public email domains, like gmail.com, are excluded, so personal-email participants aren't misclassified as internal.

Sync Gong Recordings into Kaia

Bring your existing Gong recordings into Kaia for a single source of conversation data.

Summary

Customers who record calls in Gong can now sync those recordings into Kaia, with a one-time 7-day backfill and ongoing ingestion going forward. All Kaia features, including Smart Meeting Assist and Topics, apply to synced recordings.

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Connect Gong to Kaia from Outreach's Kaia admin settings using a Gong API key.

Kaia Activity Mapping Update

A clearer way to associate calls with the right opportunity.

Updates

  • See an AI icon on the Kaia Recordings page whenever a suggested account or opportunity match is ready to review.

Platform Services

License Management via SCIM

Manage Outreach license assignments from your identity provider.

Summary

Two new SCIM attributes, primary license and add on licenses, let admins assign, change, and remove Outreach user licenses through SCIM PATCH requests, closing the last manual step in IDP-driven user lifecycle management.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Assign a user's primary license (Engage, Admin, or Listener) through a SCIM PATCH request.
  • Add or clear add-on licenses (Meet, Deal, Forecast) via SCIM, alongside the primary license.
  • Automate onboarding and role changes end-to-end through your identity provider, with no need to open the Outreach admin console.

Note: Requires Outreach License v3 or above. Add-ons require an Engage or Admin primary license; Listener does not support add-ons.

Historical Data Load: Scheduler Redesign and Change Detection Prompts

Get prompted to backfill data the moment a field mapping changes.

Summary

The HDL Scheduler itself has been redesigned into a single guided interface with a review step before anything runs.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

Updates

  • Get prompted to schedule a Historical Data Load immediately after saving a qualifying field mapping change.
  • See a quiet notice instead of a duplicate prompt if a load is already pending for that object, or guidance to cancel and reschedule if one is already running.
  • Review a redesigned Scheduler with off-peak scheduling guidance and a confirmation step before the job runs.
  • See a heads-up banner on analytics and forecasting dashboards while a load is in progress, and resync failed records without starting a new job.

Separate Edit and Delete Permissions for Prospects and Accounts

Grant edit access without automatically granting delete access.

Summary

Updates

  • Assign edit and delete permissions independently for Prospects and Accounts.

Updates

  • Select Portuguese from your language dropdown.

Picklist Dependent Fields

Keep picklist selections valid by tying one field's options to another's.

Summary

Admins can now define dependent picklists, for example Stage and a new Substage field, at the Prospect or Account level, so available Substage options are limited to whatever is valid for the selected Stage. Sequence Rulesets can update both fields together in a single transaction.

Release Date

August 13, 2026 – September 1, 2026

  • Define a controlling field and a dependent field, then map which options are valid together.
