How to Enable Inbound Delete Sync

Created by Jan Palous, Modified on Mon, 9 Feb at 11:01 PM by Alsabana Sahubarali

Objective

The purpose of this article is to provide Outreach Admins with guidance on enabling and using Inbound Delete Sync for custom objects.

The Inbound Delete Sync feature helps maintain data accuracy in Outreach by automatically removing records that have been deleted in the connected CRM (Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics). This prevents outdated or irrelevant records from remaining in Outreach, ensuring reps work with the most current data.

Applies To

  • Standard and custom objects

  • CRM integrations: Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365

  • Admins managing CRM data synchronization

Procedure

  1. In Outreach, go to Settings → CRM Sync → Object Mapping.

  2. Locate the object you want to configure.

  3. If the object supports delete sync, a “Delete” checkbox will appear in the mapping settings.

  4. Tick the checkbox to enable Inbound Delete Sync for that object.

  5. Click Save to apply changes.

  6. To sync immediately, click the Poll button - this will process both deletes and updates. Otherwise, the sync will run on the scheduled polling interval.

Important: For Leads, Contacts, Accounts, and Opportunities, Inbound Delete Sync is not configured on the Object Mapping page. These standard objects use the Advanced sync setting section instead. The configuration steps and behavior are different from custom objects, and enabling delete sync for one object type does not affect the others.
