Objective
To configure the record deduping in the Outreach CRM integration
Applies To
Salesforce.
Microsoft Dynamics.
Outreach CRM integration.
Users with Admin or CRM integration access profiles.
Before You Begin
- Choose an object/entity, for example account.
- Choose fields for record matching/deduping.
- Determine if record matching/deduping will be enabled for bidirectional, Salesforce to Outreach, or Outreach to Salesforce.
- Map any fields that will be used for record matching/deduping.
Procedure
- Navigate to the CRM integration
- Select the desired object/entity
- Scroll to the mapped field that will be used for record matching/deduping
- Select the “...” menu on the right side
- Select Advanced configuration
- Set the Record Deduping drop down to: “When syncing both ways”, “When syncing from Salesforce into Outreach”, “When syncing from Outreach into Salesforce”, or “off”
Additional Information
Avoid record matching/deduping on long text fields.
Avoid using more than 5 fields for record matching/deduping.
Outreach support cannot advise which fields should be used for record matching/deduping. Every business is unique and fields used for record matching/deduping need to be determined based on business need, workflows, and familiarity with CRM records.
