How to Disable Fallback Sync Options in Outreach

Purpose: 

The purpose of this article is to provide direction to Outreach Admins in disabling fallback sync options on plugin types. 

Intended Audience: 

  • Outreach Admins

Notes:

  • The CRM Sync experience listed here includes both the Classic Plugin experience and the new Enhanced CRM Sync Experience which is currently in Beta. For instructions on the Enhanced CRM Sync Experience, see the section Enhanced CRM Sync Beta.
  • If this is enabled, activities syncing with Standard Task Mapping, including emails sent outside of Outreach will be automatically associated with the last created opportunity associated with the prospect in Salesforce. 

Procedure

Classic Plugin 

  1. Access the Outreach Platform.
  2. Access the Plugin Settings. 
  3. Click the Contact object. 
  4. Click to disable the Fallback to associate activity with most recent Opportunity in the Salesforce option. 
  5. Click Save.
    The fallback sync options have been disabled. 

Enhanced CRM Sync Beta

  1. Access the Outreach Platform.
  2. Access the CRM Sync Settings
  3. Click the Contact object
  4. Click Advanced Settings.
  5. Click to disable the Fallback to associate activity with the most recent Opportunity in the Salesforce option.
  6. Click Save.

The fallback sync options have been disabled.
