How to Enable Purposeful Duplicates

Objective

Enable the opportunity for users to create purposeful duplicates in Outreach.

Applies To

  • Admins

Procedure

  1. Log in to Outreach as an Admin.
  2. Click Administration > Organization > Org info > General
  3. Navigate to Purposeful Duplicates.
  4. Click Configure.
  5. Select the method for purposeful duplicate creation.
  6. Configure the prospect differentiation fields.

  7. Click Save.

 

Once Purposeful Duplicates is enabled at an Org-level, you will also have the option to enable the related Duplicate opt out settings

Apply opt-out settings to any prospects with the same email address

When the Opt Out Setting is enabled, it will apply the Opt Out status update (true/false) to other duplicate prospect records with the same email address in Outreach at the time the status is updated on one of the duplicate records. The setting will not work retroactively.
