Objective
Learn about setting limitations for the Outreach Everywhere Chrome browser extension access to specific pages or applications as an Outreach Admin.
Applies To
- Outreach Admins
- Outreach Everywhere Chrome browser extension
Extension Access Limitations
Outreach Everywhere injects contents to all pages by default. This allows, for example, the ability to display the in-page sidebar anywhere needed.
Users who want the extension to work in only a specific app, such as Gmail or Chrome, must limit extension access to those specific pages/applications.
Note: Limiting extension access requires users to also enable possible subdomains. When choosing to make use of the associated Chrome settings, ensure web.outreach.io is included in the Allowed Sites. Otherwise, Outreach will report the extension is not installed.
Access Limited by Group Policies
In case a user’s browser is managed by an organization, extension site access can also be limited by group policies set by the organization administrators.
In this case, users can view the applied policies by navigating to chrome://policy/ in the browser.
