The purpose of this article is to provide direction to Outreach Users in associating email activities with an opportunity in Outreach.
Users need control over how email activities associate to opportunities to ensure clear and accurate visibility into the progress and history of an opportunity. Additionally, this determines how the activity is associated in Outreach and how this activity syncs back to Salesforce.
- Outreach Users
- Outreach Admins must enable this feature for users. For more information on enabling the associate email activities to opportunities feature, refer to the How To Enable the Associate Email Activities to Opportunities Feature article.
- This functionality is only available in Gmail and Outreach Mail.
- The To: or CC: field must be populated with a recipient.
How To Associate Email Activities to an Opportunity:
- Compose a new email.
- Select the applicable opportunity from the Automatically associate with an opportunity dropdown list.
Note: Only opportunities the Prospect is associated with via contact role populate in the list.
The email will be associated with the selected opportunity after the user sends the email.
