Purpose:
The purpose of this article is to provide direction to Outreach users in deleting Prospects from the Outreach platform.
Intended Audience:
- Outreach Users
Notes:
- Deleteing a Prospect deletes all associated Prospect data including: Email, History, Activity History, Opens, Clicks, etc., but will not delete the Prospect in Salesforce.
- Only Outreach Admins and Prospect Owner's can delete Prospect records. For more information on Salesforce record management, refer to the Sales Force Record Merge & Delete FAQ.
- Deleting Prospects from Outreach cannot be reversed.
Delete a Single Prospect
- Access the Outreach Platform.
- Click on the Prospects icon on the sidebar.
- Click to select the applicable prospect.
- Click the More Actions ellipses and select Delete.
- Click Delete in the Confirm Deletion window.
Delete a Group of Prospects
- Access the Outreach Platform.
- Click on the Prospects icon (double silhouette) in the sidebar.
- Select multiple prospects as applicable.
- Click the More Actions ellipses and select Delete.
- Click Delete in the Confirm Deletion window.
How does deleting a prospect in Outreach affect the lead/contact in Salesforce?
When a prospect is deleted in Outreach, the lead/contact in Salesforce will not be affected. Based on your plugin settings, the deleted prospects can be recreated in Outreach.
