Note: Feature(s) Pending Rollout

Features and functionality described on this page are part of our April 2026 release, which is rolling out to eligible customers April 16-April 29, 2026. See our Release Notes here to learn more.

Objective

Learn to configure Smart Kaia Coach auto scoring of targeted coaching cards.

Applies To

  • Outreach Admins
  • Managers

Before You Begin

  • Meet — Required for coaching and recordings.
  • Amplify — Required for auto scoring and credit usage. Each automatically scored coaching card uses 2 Amplify credits, regardless of the number of questions. If no credits are available, auto scoring pauses and resumes once credits are replenished.

Overview

Smart Kaia Coach auto scoring allows targeted coaching cards to be automatically scored against any recording that meets pre-defined criteria. This removes the need for manual scoring, which is often tedious and inconsistent, and makes it easier for managers and coaches to surface and act on coaching opportunities.

  • If a recording meets the pre-defined eligibility criteria, Outreach automatically scores the coaching card against the recording owner — the rep who made or received the call, or the host of the meeting.
  • Coaching cards are scored immediately after the recording is fully processed by Kaia.
  • Answers applied to each question use the same suggested answers available during manual scoring.
  • Only recordings created after auto scoring is enabled on a coaching card are eligible to be scored.

Procedure

You can enable auto scoring when creating a new targeted coaching card or updating an existing one.

  1. Log in to Outreach as an Admin.
  2. Go to Kaia > Coach Cards.
  3. Create a new coaching card or open an existing one.
  4. Select the Auto-scoring settings (gear icon).
  5. Add at least one Meeting eligibility filter to enable the auto-scoring toggle.
Note: After applying a filter, a count of all existing recordings that match the criteria is displayed. Only recordings created after auto scoring is enabled will be scored — this count is for preview purposes only.
  6. (Optional) Adjust the following settings:
    • Coach card visibility — Controls who can see the scored coaching card.
    • Question weighting — Adjusts how much each question contributes to the overall score. For example, you may want to weight a question about handling objections more heavily than one asking whether the rep introduced themselves.
  7. Select Save.
  8. Select Publish.

Note: Targeted coaching cards must be published for auto scoring to run. Cards with auto scoring enabled but not yet published will not score new recordings. Provide detailed AI instructions for each question to ensure questions are scored correctly.

Additional Information

How many Amplify credits does auto scoring use?

Scoring a coaching card costs 2 Amplify credits. The cost is the same regardless of the number of questions on the card.

What happens if I run out of Amplify credits?

Auto scoring is paused when no credits are available and resumes once credits are replenished. Any recordings missed during this period will not be retroactively scored.

When creating a meeting eligibility filter, I can see the number of recordings that match. Will all of those be scored when I publish the card?

No. Only recordings created after auto scoring has been enabled on a coaching card are eligible to be scored. The count shown is intended to help illustrate the potential impact of your filters and allow you to preview example recordings that would have been scored if auto scoring had already been enabled.
