Note that if you already have some other configuration set up, the screenshots provided below might not be an exact match, but you can follow the same instructions. The instructions assume that you have enabled Developer Mode. If you haven't already done that, please find the instructions at the bottom of this article. |
Adding Outreach MCP Custom Connector
To enable Outreach MCP Custom Connector, go to chatgpt.com/apps > Create app

In the pop-up dialog that opens, enter the following details:
- Icon - Add Outreach icon
- Name – Outreach MCP Server (or your preferred name)
- Description - Outreach Revenue Intelligence via MCP (or your preferred description)
- Server URL – https://api.outreach.io/mcp/
- Authentication – OAuth
Everything else can remain blank > Agree to terms and conditions > Hit Create and make sure it saves successfully.

Using MCP Connector
Let’s verify that Outreach via MCP is fully connected. Go to your ChatGPT window and make sure to select the Outreach MCP Connector

Try out the following query – “@Outreach MCP Server Who am I in Outreach?”. ChatGPT should reason and respond with your account details in Outreach.

You’ll be able to observe ChatGPT reasoning in the sidebar and then connect to Outreach via MCP to get your Outreach account information:
Note that it is not required to explicitly select the Outreach MCP Server or tag it. ChatGPT can reason on its own to call Outreach via MCP as and when required. However, if you want to cut through ChatGPT's reasoning or want to Ask Outreach directly, tagging Outreach is a very handy pro tip!
Enabling ChatGPT Developer Mode
Before you can use Custom Connectors, ChatGPT requires you to enable Developer Mode. If you have already enabled Developer Mode, you can skip to the next section
To Enable Developer Mode on the ChatGPT go to chatgpt.com/apps and hit the gear icon on the top right corner
Click on the Advanced Settings arrow

And enable the Developer Mode toggle

Next steps
If you have set up everything correctly, at this point ChatGPT desktop and web should be able to connect with Outreach via MCP.
Next step is to fully verify that everything is working correctly, please follow the steps here.
