- Outreach Users
Settings Overview:
The article describes how to configure your Outreach Settings to your desired preferences.
Mailbox
Setting up your Outreach Mailbox allows for Outreach to send emails on your behalf. To connect your mailbox refer to the How To Connect a Primary Email to Outreach article.
Once you have your mailbox connected so that Outreach can send on your behalf. It is important to set up your signature so that your emails all have the proper sign off. After setting up your signature we recommend customizing your unsubscribe link to help personalize your emails.
Your Outreach mailbox also comes with default individual email limits and safeguards. We recommend adjusting these as necessary to fit your email provider's specific sending limits, often times your email provider has internally set limits.
Calendar
Outreach provides a robust suite of calendaring features, available for both Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar users. Here are the features you can control today within your Outreach Calendar settings:
- Insert availability as bookable time blocks so your prospects can book meetings with you instantly.
- Include public calendar links so your prospects can easily find a time that works for them or reschedule meetings without additional back and forth.
- Add conference variables such as your conference location (such as a video conference URL) and conference description to include any additional information needed to enter your meetings (ex: dial in option for a video conference).
Voice
If you are subscribed to Outreach Voice you will want to set up your Outbound and Inbound voice settings. Your Outbound Voice setting determines how you dial out using Outreach voice; either via your browser/headset or connecting your desk/cell phone to Outreach. Your inbound voice setting determines if you want inbound calls to be forwarded to your phone or if you'd like to use an Outreach voicemail.
To begin dialing using Outreach voice, you will want to purchase an Outreach phone number, or utilize our local presence feature. We also recommend checking your microphone and speaker settings prior to dialing out of Outreach voice.
FAQ
Q. How can I change my notifications? I get notification emails from Outreach and want to turn these off.
A. Outreach provides users with a variety of notifications such as desktop notifications, daily digest emails of your tasks and stats, as well as notification emails if we detect a reply from a non-recipient. Your notifications can be found under your main General settings page.
Q. Can I default email recipients to all my emails? For example, I want to CC my manager on everything, or BCC my unique SFDC email to sync things to Salesforce.
A. Yes! You can add default recipients under your personal "Email Recipients" settings. Your admin may choose to forego connecting the Salesforce plugin to simply BCC outbound emails to the Activity of a Lead or Contact, and "Email Recipients" is where you'll want to add the BCC.
Q. Can I use my own phone number to call with Outreach?
A. Outreach allows users to set a custom caller id so that when you dial out, it appears to be coming from your own phone number.
